Win tickets to meet STAR TREK: WRATH OF KHAN director Nicholas Meyer at Modern Film Fest in N.C.

Modern Film Fest is excited to bring Nicholas Meyer to Kannapolis for the 30^th anniversary screening of his film “Star Trek: Wrath of Khan” Friday night and give festival guests a chance to meet him.

Along with a VIP reception prior to the screening, festival guests can also meet Meyer at the Wrath of Khan luncheon at 12 p.m. Saturday Oct. 6 or at the Modern Film Fest After Party that night. Tickets for the luncheon are only $60 and limited to 20 guests. There are only 50 After Party tickets left and they are only $40 each.

Film fans will also have three opportunities to win tickets to these exclusive events.

Got a new Halloween costume to try out? Is your Starfleet uniform hidden in the back of your closet? Put on your best costume for the Modern Film Fest costume contest Friday Oct. 5 and win a chance to meet Meyer.

The contest gets going at 6 p.m. and is accompanied by a live performance from Salisbury-based rockers Graveyard Boulevard. Grand prize is a ticket to meet Meyer at the Wrath of Khan luncheon at Forty Six on Saturday, Oct. 6 at 12 p.m.

Registration for the costume contest is $10 and at Gem Theatre box office and includes a ticket to “Wrath of Khan.” The costume winner will be announced at 7:30 p.m.

Film festival guests will have two more chances to win tickets and meet the man behind some of the most beloved Star Trek films.

A raffle will be held for two tickets to the Wrath of Khan luncheon with Nicholas Meyer Saturday afternoon and two tickets to the Modern Film Fest After Party Saturday night, which will feature all of the filmmakers from this year’s festival. Raffle tickets are $1 each or 5 tickets for $3. The winners of the raffle contest will be announced following the screening of, “Star Trek: Wrath of Khan.” Winners must be present to collect their prizes.
