Stiff Magazine editor Dave Harlequin to judge costume contest
This year's 4th annual Modern Film Fest kicks off Halloween earlywith a costume contest and Stiff Magazine editor Dave Harlequin will be judging entries while the band Graveyard Boulevard performs.
The contest will be open to all genres and mediums, so come as your favorite movie, comic book or video game character. This is a family friendly event, so keep the costumes PG-13 please.
We will be screening, "Star Trek: Wrath of Khan," but the contest is a general entry event, so it'd be great to see Storm Troopers, Indiana Jones fans, Zombie fans and other genres, including, "Doctor Who" at the contest.
Registration for the costume contest begins at 5 p.m. Friday, Oct. 5, at the historic Gem Theatre, Kannapolis, N.C. and the registration fee is $10. All registered costume contest participants will receive a free ticket to, "Star Trek: Wrath of Khan" which screens at 8 p.m. that same night.
The winners of the costume contest will be announced at 7:30 p.m. that night, just prior to the screening of, "Star Trek: Wrath of Khan," just after a performance by Graveyard Boulevard at 7 p.m. and Dave Harlequin will announce the costume contest winners.
